Assam down town University officially inaugurated its newly developed 5-Star Standard Training Rooms under the Discipline of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management, marking a significant milestone in hospitality education
The state-of-the-art facilities were formally inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Prof. (Dr.) N.C. Talukdar, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Pranveer Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor; and Dr. Seema Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management, along with faculty members, students, and invited guests.
Developed to replicate contemporary luxury hospitality standards, these rooms will serve as a dynamic practical learning environment where students can gain valuable hands-on experience in guest service operations, room management, housekeeping standards, and hospitality excellence.
The initiative aims to enhance experiential learning by enabling students to gain hands-on exposure to real-world hospitality practices, preparing them to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
The newly inaugurated facility is expected to further strengthen the university's efforts to nurture skilled hospitality professionals equipped to meet the evolving demands of the global hospitality and tourism industry.
