GUWAHATI: The X (formerly Twitter) account of the satirical political group Cockroach Janata Party has been withheld in India just days after gaining widespread attention online.
The outfit’s founder, Abhijeet Dipke, shared a screenshot of the notice displayed on the account and wrote, “As expected, Cockroach Janta Party’s account has been withheld in India.”
The account, operating under the username CJP_2029, now displays a message stating: “Account Withheld,” along with the notice that “@CJP_2029 has been withheld in IN in response to a legal demand.”
