US President Donald Trump advised Israel to remain calm. He said that the agreement with Iran is almost final. If attacked in this situation, there is a possibility that everything will turn into water. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not heed Trump’s advice. Early Monday morning, Israeli forces launched a simultaneous attack on several Iranian military bases.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has a military base in western Iran. Not only that, there are several drone bases and missile launch sites. In addition, Iran’s military has a missile storage and command center in central Iran. This morning the Israeli Air Force attacked both areas simultaneously. They fired missiles one after the other. Black smoke covered the surrounding area.
“Some time ago, the Israeli army attacked several military bases in western and central Iran,” the Israel Defense Forces wrote in a post on social media after the attack. However, the extent of the damage is not yet known.
The incident started with an air strike on Dahiyeh. It is known as a Hezbollah stronghold. Israel carried out airstrikes there. Tehran has warned Netanyahu’s country of counter-attack. Within 24 hours, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired a ballistic missile at Ramat David airbase, about 20 kilometers from Haifa. No one was killed in the attack. Israeli air defense systems intercepted the missile in the air.
Trump came forward after the attack of Iran. “I will call Bibi (Netanyahu) now. I will tell him not to counterattack,” he said. Trump sounded a bit like an older brother that day. In his words, “Everyone has responded in their own way. Israel has attacked, so has Iran. There is no need for a new conflict now.
Shortly thereafter, Trump called Netanyahu, but it is not known what they discussed. Shortly after the phone call, however, Trump said in an interview with the ‘Financial Times’: ‘Israel has no choice but to accept any deal the US makes with Iran. I decide, he doesn’t. But Israel ignored Trump’s advice and attacked again.
