Shahu Giribala Singh will be his lawyer, the lawyer left for the media

The mysterious death of Tisha Sharma took a big turn in the capital Bhopal on Saturday. Retired District and Satra Judge Giribala Singh will now defend his daughter-in-law Tisha Sharma’s death case. In fact, lawyer Ishok George Carlo, who has been representing her so far, withdrew from the case after a spat with the media. After the lawyer dropped the case, Giribala Singh decided to defend himself in court.

Tisha Sharma’s mother-in-law Giribala Singh has been accused of murdering her for dowry in a case registered after her mysterious death at her residence in Katra Hills. Realizing the importance of the case, he managed to get anticipatory bail from the Bhopal court on the day the case was registered, for which he got interim relief. But the relief he has found is now in jeopardy.

Challenging the anticipatory bail granted by the Bhopal court, Trisha’s father Navanidhi Sharma filed a petition in the High Court. The petition alleged that Giribala Singh tried to destroy evidence related to the case. The High Court has issued a notice asking why the anticipatory bail will not be cancelled, despite such serious allegations. The next hearing of the case will be in May

A team of lawyers reached Giribala Singh’s residence on Saturday morning to discuss future strategies. Giribala Singh will appear before the Jabalpur High Court on May 25 for defence. While in judicial service, Giribala Singh held important posts like District and Satra Judge, Registrar and Member Secretary of Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority. He made the case more sensitive and controversial by coming to the court himself to plead. All eyes are now on the High Court’s next hearing, where a crucial decision on anticipatory bail is likely.
