On Friday, July 18, 2025, the first diving assistant ship (DSV – Diving Support Vessel) INS NISAR was handed over to the Navy to the Navy at Dockyard in Visakhapatnam’s Navy. Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi were present at the historic function. Both recognize self-reliant India for its success. He added that it will be considered as a milestone for self-reliance in the field of defence.
This modern and high-tech ship is designed to run deeper to the sea and is designed to run the submarine rescue operations.
The ships made of such technology are very rare.
The ship is owned by the Navy of only a few countries in the world. India now owns this rare ship.
