Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma, who has spread hate speech in Assam society and made cruel hateful comments targeting the Mia community, is now afraid to face court for his actions. His latest affidavit filed against PIL No. 14/2026 shows how the highest authority of the state is trying to evade his duties by finding loopholes in the law. The petition filed by conscious citizens including Dr. Hiren Gohain against the Chief Minister directly proves that his comments not only cross political boundaries but also violate the very foundation of the Constitution.
The video was posted on BJP’s official social media handle on February 7 and the chief minister said, “Point blank shot““There is no mercy““Foreigner free Assam“ and “No forgiveness for Bangladeshis“There are many reasons why you should not buy these products. For this reason you should not buy this product. The chief minister is now afraid to stand in court to defend himself and has been ridiculed for distorting evidence by making disparaging comments in newspapers. His behavior can be considered not only as a legal trick but also as a vile attempt to insult people’s memory. Does Himanta Biswa Sharma think that evidence of his hate speech is limited to newspapers or social media? In fact, his venomous remarks are so etched in the memory of everyone in Assam that no affidavit or court document can erase that fact.
He argued this in his court affidavit– Like the Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay case or the police investigation– This is just a clever trick to escape from the case. The essence of his oath is that hate speech should not be prosecuted. The Chief Minister’s argument that the court should not intervene by filing a case against Mia, who is now living through the inhuman mental agony at the instigation of the community, is also rumored to be totally undemocratic and inhumane. In fact, this attempt of the Chief Minister is not just an attempt of a politician to protect himself, it is an expression of an authoritarian mentality. There are also rumors that this behavior tarnished Assam’s democratic tradition by stoking hatred in people’s hearts and now the courts are denying the existence of that fire. It remains to be seen what the court will decide, but in the eyes of history, this fugitive attitude and hate politics of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma will forever be a shameful chapter. The common people of Assam have realized his crooked activities and he will have to answer for it sometime in the people’s court.
