GUWAHATI: Having an individual bank account will now be mandatory for students appearing for the Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2027, with the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) making bank account details a required part of the examination form-filling process.
ASSEB has directed all schools to ensure that Class 10 students have active personal bank accounts before the HSLC 2027 form-fill-up begins in October.
Students who do not have bank accounts will have to open individual accounts before completing their examination registration. Schools have been instructed to assist students in opening accounts and ensure that the process is completed well ahead of the form-filling deadline.
The board has directed all Inspectors of Schools to communicate the instruction to heads of educational institutions in their respective districts and ensure that all Class 10 students comply with the requirement.
ASSEB has asked schools to begin preparations in advance so that students do not face difficulties during the HSLC 2027 registration process.
The directive was issued by N.N. Nath, ACS, Secretary, ASSEB, Division-I, from the board headquarters at Bamunimaidam, Guwahati.
