Jai Hind Club to Make Ram Mandir Themed Durga Puja Pandal in Guwahati's Pandu


 

GUWAHATI: Jai Hind Club, Pandu, is gearing up to celebrate the 80th year of its Sarbajanin Durga Puja in 2026 with a grand pandal inspired by the Ram Mandir, Ayodhya.

The club has set aside an estimated budget of ₹35 lakh for this milestone celebration. The centrepiece of this year's festivities will be a spectacular Ram Mandir-themed lighting and illumination show, designed to recreate the grandeur of the iconic temple and immerse visitors in a festive spiritual ambience.

Marking eight decades of uninterrupted celebration, the club's Durga Puja has grown into one of the most anticipated cultural events in the region. Organisers say this year's edition will be no exception, promising a blend of tradition, devotion and artistic grandeur that is expected to draw large crowds from across Pandu and Guwahati.

With preparations already underway, the 80th-year celebration is being positioned as a major cultural attraction for the city, reaffirming Jai Hind Club's legacy as a hub of community festivity and heritage.
