Jurassic Park actor Sam Neill has died. He is remembered all over the world for his portrayal of D. Alan Grant. The actor breathed his last on Monday. He was 78 years old.

The actor’s family released a statement confirming the news of his death. According to family sources, the actor died in Sydney.

He had been battling cancer for several years. Just a few months ago, the actor announced that he had won his battle with the deadly disease.

In 2022, he was diagnosed with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. which is a rare type of blood cancer. He was first given chemotherapy but later treated with advanced cell therapy.

In April this year, the scan report revealed that there is no more cancer in his body. The good news was shared by the actor himself.

Sam Neill was born in Northern Ireland in 1947 and moved to New Zealand with his family when he was young. In an acting career spanning more than five decades, he has appeared in more than 150 films and television. But his role as archeologist Dr. Alan Grant in Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park brought him international fame in 1993. He later played the same role in Jurassic Park III and Jurassic World Dominion.
