GUWAHATI: The sacred gates of the Kamakhya Temple are expected to reopen around 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM on Friday, June 26, marking the culmination of the Ambubachi Mela and allowing devotees to offer prayers directly to Maa Kamakhya.

Speaking to GPlus, a member of the Ambubachi Mahayog Committee said that while the exact timing cannot be confirmed, the reopening is likely to take place between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM following the completion of the Nibriti rituals and the ceremonial holy bath of Maa Bhagawati.
With the reopening of the temple gates approaching, thousands of devotees have gathered at Nilachal Hills, eagerly awaiting an opportunity to seek the blessings of the Goddess. According to estimates, more than eight lakh pilgrims have visited the temple till the fourth day of the annual religious congregation.
The reopening of the sanctum marks the end of the three-day period during which the temple remains closed, symbolising the annual menstruation cycle of the Goddess. The event is considered one of the most significant religious festivals in the country and attracts devotees, sadhus, and spiritual seekers from across India and abroad.
