Prime Minister Narendra Modi made history today. He broke India’s first elected Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s old record of 4,399 days as Prime Minister. Pandit Nehru’s tenure as Prime Minister was 4,398 days. Narendra Modi now holds the record for the longest tenure as Prime Minister of India. He has received congratulations from home and abroad for this record. Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni congratulated Prime Minister Modi.
“Today, I congratulate Narendra Modi for becoming the longest elected Prime Minister in the history of India,” Meloni wrote in a picture posted on social media. It was a pleasure to meet him again in Rome recently and start a special strategic partnership together. This partnership focuses on creating new opportunities for our two countries and peoples for the future.
In May, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Rome, Italy on May 19 on the last leg of his five-nation tour. In Rome, he was received by Italian Prime Minister Maloney. A special dinner for Prime Minister Modi was also organized on the occasion. The two leaders held bilateral meetings and focused on strengthening ties between India and Italy. Prime Minister Modi and Meloni also inaugurated a special strategic partnership between the two countriesWhich will strengthen the relationship between the two countries. Both sides signed important agreements on defense industry frameworks, business development, clean energy, technology, artificial intelligence and security cooperation. PM Modi and Maloney visited the Colosseum together and toured around it. The two leaders traveled by car, photographed themselves together and discussed the values of democracy and their common vision for the future.
