GUWAHATI: One person was killed and another sustained serious injuries after an SUV crashed into a parked trailer on National Highway 27 near Boragaon in Guwahati late on Tuesday night, August 4.

According to police, the accident occurred at around 11 pm when the SUV, travelling from Khanapara towards Jalukbari, rammed into a heavy-duty trailer that had been parked on the highway.
The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the death of one of the passengers on the spot, while another suffered major injuries.
The injured person was rescued and rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
Traffic officials from Garchuk Police Station said the injured individual is now out of danger.
