GUWAHATI: A 75-year-old woman was found dead at her residence in Guwahati’s Bhaskar Nagar area on Tuesday, May 2.

The deceased has been identified as Bina Das, whose house is located close to the Bhaskar Vidyapeeth School. Residents alerted the police soon after the incident came to light.
Speaking to GPlus, a police official from Chandmari Police Station said, “The elderly woman was discovered hanging inside her house. The post-mortem of her body has been completed.”
The exact reason behind the suicide has not yet been determined.
An investigation is underway to look into the case.
