Aftab Poonawala was accused of murdering his live-in partner Shraddha Walker and dismembering her body into 35 pieces in a freezer. This tragic event shook the whole country. Since then, Aftab is in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. The case is still pending. The next hearing in the case was scheduled for July 20 but the date has now been postponed. Aftab has his post graduation or MA exam on the same day.
That is known, Aftab is a student of Social Sciences at Indira Gandhi National Open University. He approached the Delhi High Court to cancel the hearing as the exam was to be held from July 11 to July. Justice Hargurwinder Singh Jaggi then accepted Aftab’s plea. According to court sources, The judge directed Aftab to appear for testimony on July 21 at 2 pm.
