CPI(M) questions PM Narendra Modi’s silence on Ram temple grant scam


Ayodhya’s Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthkshetra Trust has become the subject of heated political debate across the country over allegations of embezzlement and financial irregularities. Therefore, the party demanded that the central government and the prime minister give a clear position on this matter.

Uttar Pradesh Police and Special Investigation Team ((SIT) The government has launched an inquiry into allegations of irregularities in the calculation and management of donations collected at the Ayodhya Ram temple. Several accused have already been arrested and the police claimed to have recovered a significant amount of cash. The incident followed the resignation of general secretary Champat Roy and trustee Anil Mishra of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthkshetra Trust. The trust is moving towards forming a new administrative system.

The CPI alleged that only lower-level workers were targeted in the incident, But if there are large irregularities, Then the responsible higher-ups should also be brought under investigation. The party asked the Ram Mandir Trust to pass the Right to Information Act (RTI)-They also support claims for coverage, So that the public can get information regarding the utilization of grants.

The CPI, along with the Congress and the CPI(M), raised the same question. The Congress urged the Prime Minister to break her silence to reveal the truth and demanded a Supreme Court-supervised probe. CPI(M) MP John Britus Bharasa RTI-They called for nationwide coverage.
