GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday, May 30, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and briefed him on the priorities and initial progress of the newly formed NDA 3.0 government in the state.

The meeting was Sarma's first formal interaction with the Prime Minister after beginning his second consecutive term as Chief Minister. He also thanked Modi for his continued support and sought his guidance for Assam's development initiatives.
Sharing details on X, Sarma said he briefed the Prime Minister on the "headstart" made by the NDA 3.0 government in Assam and expressed gratitude for his "unstinted support".
The meeting comes as the state government begins its new term with a focus on governance, infrastructure, welfare programmes and economic growth. It also highlighted ongoing coordination between the Centre and Assam in advancing development goals in the state and the Northeast.
