Fire Breaks Out on Samastipur–Saharsa Passenger Train in Bihar


 

GUWAHATI: A fire broke out in the engine and two attached coaches of the Samastipur–Saharsa MEMU passenger train (No. 63344) at Simri Bakhtiyarpur railway station in Bihar's Saharsa district at around 3 AM on Monday, August 3.

Railway officials said passengers were evacuated safely, and no injuries or casualties have been reported. The fire was brought under control by the authorities.

The exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined. Railway officials have launched an investigation to ascertain what triggered the fire.
