Finally a peace agreement was signed between the US and Iran. As a result, the 107-day conflict in the Middle East ended. At the same time, the gates of the Strait of Hormuz opened. US President Donald Trump announced the signing of the peace agreement on his social media platform Truth.
At the same time, Donald Trump announced that the strategically important Strait of Hormuz had been fully opened to merchant ships from around the world and that the US naval blockade had been lifted.
“The deal with Iran is done. I congratulate everyone,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “This agreement will bring peace and security to the entire region. Many presidents before me tried to make peace with Iran, but they all failed. The people of this region have the first president who has brought real peace to the world. Oil supplies will resume.”
However, Iran has not yet made an official statement on the peace deal. Iran’s Fars news agency reported that the government will soon issue an official statement on the ceasefire agreement with the United States. The news agency also claimed that Iran has decided to control maritime traffic in the Persian Gulf in cooperation with Oman.
A peace treaty was signed after the two countries reached an agreement on a total of 14 issues. Those 14 topics are:

- Permanent ceasefire on all fronts including Lebanon.
