GUWAHATI: Jagiroad is set to get a Taj Gateway five-star hotel after the Assam Cabinet approved the draft Lease Deed between the Assam Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (AIDC Ltd.) and Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) for the proposed project.

The approval clears the way for AIDC Ltd. to execute the lease agreement with IHCL for construction of the hotel at Jagiroad.
The proposed development is expected to add a major hospitality facility to the area and strengthen its tourism and business infrastructure.
The decision was taken at the State Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, August 11.
