GUWAHATI: A man was apprehended with suspected heroin during an anti-narcotics operation carried out by Assam Police based on a tip-off in Lakhimpur, officials said on Thursday, May 14.
According to reports, a team comprising TSI personnel and police staff intercepted and detained the accused, identified as Amsor Ali, during the operation.
During a search, the team recovered 10 plastic vials containing suspected heroin weighing approximately 12.47 grams along with a mobile handset from his possession.
The seized items were taken into custody and further legal action is underway.
