The Janata Party (BJP) has been in turmoil in the capital Delhi for the past few days. Protesters allegedly attacked the police on Wednesday night as well. Meanwhile, a Delhi Police source said the passports of those accused of violence may be cancelled. The government will also take strict legal action against them.
The Cockroach Janata Party (KJP) marched towards Parliament on Monday morning despite not having permission from the Delhi Police. By breaking the barricade and targeting the crowd, the police violated Section 144 and became a battlefield for the movement. Around 5,000 police and paramilitary forces cordoned off the Jantar Mantar area and clashed with the protesters.
Protests have already spread across the country beyond Delhi. Interest in the movement is also increasing among the youth of the country. Opposition parties are also trying to use the student movement to achieve their political interests. The ousted leaders are blaming others and there is fierce conflict within the party. The Cockroach Janata Party (KJP) has been accused of receiving crores of rupees in foreign donations and a public interest litigation has been filed in the High Court seeking an NIA probe into the matter.
The government is becoming increasingly aware of the situation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that there will be no compromise on the future of students. He said that protecting the interests of students is the main goal of the government. The government has decided to set up a fast track court to punish all the culprits involved in the question paper leak incident. The Prime Minister posted on social media that under no circumstances will anyone who harms students be spared.
