The terrorists were planning to launch time bomb attacks across the country. However, before the plot was understood, five suspected terrorists were arrested. The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Wing (ATS) arrested the five in a secret operation. This incident has created a stir across the country.
According to ATS sources, suspected Jaish members were procuring explosives to carry out terror attacks in different parts of India. The five arrested are also skilled in making time bombs and other types of explosives. Investigators also claimed that the group was working on Pakistani orders. Not only that, it was ordered to buy old cars from across the border to carry out terrorist attacks.
Investigators said a Jaish sleeper cell was discovered in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh about a week ago. ATS started investigation and arrested eight members from both states. Investigation revealed that the members of this gang used to brainwash the students under the cover of madrasas. They were even recruited into terrorist groups and trained in attacks. After the arrest, the accused were interrogated and five more Jaish members were traced. The five people were arrested in raids in different districts of Gujarat on Thursday.
The investigation also revealed that the terrorists were planning terrorist activities by forming an organization called Darul Islam. Gujarat was their main base. Attacks on several big cities of the country started from here. Gujarat ATS arrested a total of 13 members of the sleeper cell including five accused. Investigators are currently trying to figure out where else in the state their network spread.
