Pakistan is all set to compete in the Miss World pageant for the first time in its 75-year history. Anika Meraj will represent the country in the upcoming 75th edition. She was officially announced as Miss World Pakistan on Thursday.
According to reports, ‘Miss Pakistan Universal 2022’ Dr. Shafaq Akhtar and ‘Mr Pakistan World’ Ataullah Gujjar crowned Anika as the winner at a ceremony held at Felletis Hotel in Lahore.
24-year-old Anika holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics. He is currently pursuing Masters in Auditing and Accounting.
Anika has previously represented Pakistan at Miss Earth, Miss Global, Miss Cosmo, Miss Eco International and Miss Aura International. He also won four titles at the Freedom of the World competition in Kosovo. The 75th edition of Miss World will be held in Vietnam from August 9 to September
