Assam's Kamakhya Saikia Appointed Manager of Indian Cricket Team for Zimbabwe Tour


 

GUWAHATI: Kamakhya Saikia of Assam has been appointed as the Manager of the Senior Indian Cricket Team for its tour of Zimbabwe, scheduled to be held from July 20 to July 28.

Saikia's appointment is being seen as a significant recognition for Assam's cricket administration and sports fraternity.

A former Joint Secretary of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA), Saikia currently serves as the General Secretary of the Dibrugarh District Sports Association (DDSA). Over the years, he has been actively involved in the administration and development of cricket in the state.

His appointment as the manager of the senior national team marks another milestone for Assam's representation in Indian cricket administration.

The Indian Men’s Cricket Team will begin its three-match T20 International series against Zimbabwe on July 23 at the Harare Sports Club. The tour, which runs until July 26, will see India take on the hosts in all three matches in Harare.
