Panchshul, a student of KR Mangalam World School in Greater Kailash, New Delhi, secured 715 marks in the re-conducted examination.

The main NIT exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses was held in Mayheld in the 1990s. Recalling how she reacted when her first exam was cancelled, Panshul said that at first she felt a sense of disappointment and sadness. When asked if there was any adjustment in his study routine during the extra time, he said he did not change anything. He continued to study as before.
