The football superstar confirmed the wedding by sharing a photo of the couple’s hands showing their wedding rings on Instagram, along with the caption, “C (heart) G”.
The intimate ceremony came exactly a year after Rodriguez announced their engagement on August 11, 2025. The couple reportedly chose to keep the wedding away from the spotlight despite being one of the most followed celebrity couples in the world.
Ronaldo, 41, and Rodriguez, 32, have been together since meeting in Madrid in 2016, when Rodriguez was working at a Gucci store. Rodriguez has previously described their first meeting as “love at first sight”.
Over the years, the couple have built a family together and share five children — twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughter Alana and daughter Bella, along with Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr.
Their wedding in Cascais, a coastal resort town near Lisbon, was attended by their children, making the occasion a closely guarded family celebration.
Despite their global fame, Ronaldo and Rodriguez have generally kept the details of their personal lives private while occasionally sharing glimpses of their family life with fans. Their wedding now marks another major milestone in a relationship that has remained closely followed by football fans and celebrity watchers around the world.
