GUWAHATI: Four people sustained injuries after a head-on collision between a private car and a commercial vehicle on National Highway 27 near Lalungaon in Guwahati on Thursday afternoon, July 9.

According to traffic police, the accident occurred at around 1 PM after the private car allegedly entered the wrong side of the road and collided with the oncoming commercial vehicle.
A traffic police official from the Garchuk Traffic Branch told GPlus that all four occupants sustained minor injuries and have since been discharged.
"No major injuries were reported. All of them are in their respective homes now," the official said.
The incident has once again highlighted the dangers of wrong-side driving, a recurring traffic violation in Guwahati that poses serious risks to motorists and other road users. Further investigation into the accident is underway.
