Rajya Sabha elections for three seats in Madhya Pradesh will be held in June‘B. The Congress party has already suffered this major setback. The Election Commission had canceled Meenakshi’s nomination papers in June. He allegedly did not mention the details of the case filed against him in Telangana in his nomination papers.

The case dates back to A Sreelatha, a former corporate officer, filing a torture case against Telangana Congress leader Kumbham Sivakumar Reddy. The case was later dismissed but in 2025 Srilata appealed to the Magistrate Court. Meenakshi was named as the fourth accused. Sreelatha alleged that Telangana in-charge leader Meenakshi did not take any strong action against Reddy despite the allegations.

On the other handCongress leaders claimed that Meenakshi had already responded to the notice issued by the court based on the complaint. The Congress suspects a deep conspiracy as to why the nomination was cancelled. They alleged that the nomination was canceled due to political motives.

The nomination papers were canceled and an application was made to the Supreme Court for an urgent hearing. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the matter on Thursday. It has been alleged that the returning officer deliberately canceled the nomination papers.
