Eminent economist, former Union Law Minister and former Rajya Sabha MP Subrahmanyam Swamy has expressed deep concern over the current economic situation in India. He warned that if major reforms are not done soon, the country may face a severe economic crisis.
A post on social media X“The Stat Swamy claimed that India’s economy will start weakening from 2020. He added that the country’s economy is likely to collapse completely by the end of this year if proper measures are not taken while there is time. In this regard, he slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Finance Ministry, accusing them of failing to address the challenge.
Swamy urged other economists and scholars in the country to come up with the right solutions to save the country’s economy from further deterioration and bring it back on the path of recovery.
