The film ‘Shatluj’ was screened at the Gurudwara in Jammu


A film called ‘Satluj’ was recently screened at a local Gurdwara in Jammu. The film screening was organized to make the Sikh community, especially the younger generation, aware of their history, traditions and the socio-cultural background of Punjab.

Local gurudwara prabandhak committees and Sikh organizations initiated the move. The film ‘Shatluj’ basically reflects the history of Punjab, the importance of the lifeline Shatluj River and various aspects of social life associated with it. Its main aim was to make society aware of its roots.

A large number of fans and locals attended the exhibition. The audience enjoyed the film and appreciated the educational efforts of the organizers.

According to the organizers, such an exceptional exhibition is being organized in the Gurdwara premises to ensure that the youth do not deviate from their religious traditions in the modern age.
