The United States attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities

The US has launched a deadly attack near Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, Iranian media have claimed. The news created a stir around the world. Iran’s Al Mehr News reported that the US military fired a series of shells near the Bushehr nuclear base on Thursday afternoon. Fire spread in the area and black smoke filled the sky.

The report was initially denied but later acknowledged by the Iranian government. Iran’s official mouthpiece, IRNA, confirmed that the United States had launched a missile attack near the Bushehr nuclear base. However, Iran said the attack did not cause any radiation and radiation levels in the area were normal. Operational since 2011, the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has been supplying electricity to millions of homes in the country.

The US attacked Iran late on Wednesday night after US President Donald Trump threatened. The US strike also targeted an Iranian air base in Iranshah. The attack shook several major Iranian cities, including the capital Tehran and Bandar Abbas. However, no casualty was reported in the attack. The US Central Command said in a statement that Iran has obstructed freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. After the raid, Donald Trump released several photos and videos claiming that Washington had hit Iran 20 times stronger.
