GUWAHATI: A seven-foot-long python weighing approximately 9 kg was rescued from Lokhora Daily Bazar in Guwahati and safely released into the Garbhanga Reserve Forest.
The rescue operation was carried out by wildlife rescuer Shyamanta Ram Phookan around 2 PM.
Phookan responded after locals contacted him when the snake was spotted in the busy market area.
Following the rescue, the python was relocated to the Garbhanga Reserve Forest, where it was released into its natural habitat.
