A shocking and shameful incident has come to light in Chhattisgarh’s Korea district. A woman accused her husband of inhuman torture. The woman alleged that her husband tied her hands and feet, cut her hair, threw ash in her mouth and then forced her to urinate in front of her children. A video of the entire incident has now surfaced which has surprised everyone.
Tara, the victim, fell in love with Jitendra Gachiya and married him about 15 years ago. They have four children. But after marriage, there was trouble between husband and wife. The woman was separated from her husband due to abuse and financial problems and worked as a forester in other people’s houses to support herself and her children.
The woman alleged that her husband found her in June at the home of an acquaintance who had helped her in times of trouble. Her husband called her out and started abusing her and falsely accusing her of having an affair with another man. Then the husband tied her hands and feet with rope and tortured her. The woman said her husband cut her hair, put black engine oil and ash on her face and forced her to urinate. He was even threatened with being burnt alive.
The woman said that their children are also involved in this incident. Husband forced children to slap mother. She even tried to piss her mother through a child and eventually her husband forced her to drink the urine himself. The viral video shows the husband questioning his wife’s character and accusing her of eloping with another man.
However, the woman denied all the allegations. She said her husband was always suspicious of her and often beat her for dowry. She was also sterilized after giving birth to four children. She now only wants justice and severe punishment for the guilty husband.
Initially, based on the woman’s complaint, the police registered a complaint under various sections of the Indian Justice Code. It included clauses like cruelty, injury and threats by the husband. However, after the video came to light and the police investigated the incident, stricter clauses were added. The accused will be produced in court soon and taken into police custody, said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Suresh Chaubey.
