GUWAHATI: Kokrajhar Police conducted two separate operations, leading to the seizure of narcotics and smuggled cigarettes, along with the arrest of two individuals.

In one operation, police recovered 147.32 kg of ganja during a routine inspection on Tuesday, May 19. One person was arrested on the spot after the suspected contraband was found during the checking operation.
In another operation carried out on the night of May 18, police seized 42 cartons containing 21,000 packets of ESSE Light cigarettes. One person was arrested in connection with the case.
Legal proceedings have been initiated in both cases, and investigation is underway.
