A Hyderabad court has ordered popular Telugu actor Allu Arjun and other accused to appear in person in June. The summons was issued in connection with the death of a woman in a gruesome stabbing incident during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’ at an evening theater in Hyderabad.

The incident happened on the day of the exhibition of the film. A 35-year-old woman was killed and her eight-year-old son was injured in the accident. On December 24, the Hyderabad Police filed a chargesheet against 23 people involved in the incident. A case was registered under various sections of the Indian Judicial Code against Allu Arjun, his security guards and the theater authorities at the Chikadapally police station based on a complaint filed by the family of the deceased. Allu Arjun was arrested in the case on December 13, 2024 but was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court the next day and later regular bail. After the accident, Allu Arjun, the producer of Pushpa 2 and the Telangana government provided financial assistance to the affected families.
