Ahmedabad Police arrested two from Rajasthan


Ahmedabad Cyber ​​Crime Branch has unearthed a massive cyber fraud case. Police have arrested two members of an inter-state gang that cheated students and parents in the name of leaking NEET exam papers. The two accused have been identified as Sumer Singh Bharat Lal Meena and Akash Pappulal Meena from Rajasthan.

According to police sources, The gang did not actually leak any exam question papers but targeted anxious students in the name of exams. The Internet is like Telegram and InstagramThey used social media to make false promises to get question papers. They charge upfront money from many students in the name of extra money or premium access.

The accused opened several channels on Telegram and promoted themselves as successful students to gain the trust of students. Thus they spread the web of deception. They use online gaming platforms to try to keep money transactions secret so that the police cannot track them. So far, they have been found to have committed a fraud of Rs.15 crore.

Initial investigations revealed that the gang targeted around 1,000 people and 70 victims have reported so far. Police reiterated that no NEET question papers were leaked, This cyber fraud is carried out by exploiting the vulnerability of students. Police are currently investigating the remaining members of the gang.
