The film, made by a young team from Assam, was shot in Bengaluru and completed within 24 hours. It has been produced under Agragami Associates in co-production with Jemini Phukan Production and ShutterSpace Production.

Directed, shot and edited by Omraj Saikia, the film explores themes of isolation, introspection and emotional disconnection. Through abstract visuals and a stream-of-consciousness narrative, it portrays an individual caught in the monotony of everyday life while grappling with an unsettled state of mind.

The film features Thuriya Saikia in the lead role. Akshay Saiju is part of the DOP team, while Karan Mahanta served as assistant DOP. Pinaki Kalita is the executive producer and Rituraj Saikia handled line production.

Sound design for the film was done by Shubham Borah and Abhishek Chakraborty of Awron Studio, with singer Swapneel Bharadwaj lending his voice to the project.

The selection at BISFF 2026 marks another recognition for emerging independent filmmakers from Assam and highlights the growing presence of Northeast-based filmmakers in independent cinema.

‘Is She There’ will be screened as part of the official BISFF 2026 lineup in Bengaluru.
