The Delhi High Court on Wednesday heard the defamation case filed by journalist Anjana Om Kashyap and TV Today Network. The case involves offensive comments made by Khan Sir and others on social media. During the hearing, the court did not issue any interim order to remove the offending content from the social media. The next hearing of the case will be in July‘B.

During the hearing, Justice Madhu Jain said that some of the people involved in the case have not submitted their reply yetSo they are given extra time to defend themselves. The court was informed that no response has been received so far from defendants number one, seven, ten and eleven. The court has yet to issue a ruling. Anjana Om Kashyap has accused Khan sir, Abhinav Sharma, Babita Tyagi, Arvind Bhadria, Manish Yadav and some social media users in the case. He alleged that some videos, articles and comments posted on social media had tarnished his image and should be removed.

The petition claims that some people are journalists who have sold out for himFlatters, brokers and fake news outlets. Prosecution lawyers said there was no urgency in the matter that should be heard immediately. They also believe that different persons have different allegations and the case may be scheduled after the High Court opens in July.

During the discussion, Anjana Om Kashyap called some online teachers fraudsters and said that they only work to collect opinions. The matter sparked a heated debate on social media and many people reacted strongly against his comments. The accused said their comments were only in response to Anjana Kashyap’s statement.
