“Don’t provoke children, show them the right path,” appealed Modi. Modi’s comments came just a day after massive student protests in Delhi over recent irregularities in the National Eligibility-and-Entrance Test (NEET-UG).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi made this appeal to the members of Parliament of the National Democratic Alliance on Tuesday. It is our responsibility,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his address to the NDA parliamentary party meeting at the Balayogi Auditorium.
The prime minister claimed that the youth were going “astray”. In the same meeting, Modi also claimed that the government had taken immediate action after the NEET question paper was leaked. Describing the question paper leak as a “big sin”, the prime minister said all those involved have been arrested, with 13 accused currently in police custody.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government took immediate action after the NEET question paper leak came to light and arrested and jailed 13 accused. The government has decided to conduct the NEET exam again to secure the future of the candidates. June 21 Successfully completed exam results are declared on time.
Rijiju said that the government wants to take this action soon so that such incidents do not happen again in the future. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech, he said that the Prime Minister demanded maximum punishment for those involved in question paper leak.
He further said that strict action against the accused would help prevent future question paper leaks and maintain transparency and credibility of public examinations.
