India launched Operation Sindoor against terror bases in Pakistan in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir last year. For the first time, the government has officially announced the names of five Indian soldiers and one Air Force personnel killed in the operation.
The six martyrs are Subedar Major Pawan Kumar of the 10th Infantry Brigade Headquarters.Rifleman Sunil Kumar of 4 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry and Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar of 5 Field Regiment. The list also includes Aviation Technician Mood Murlinike of 851 Light Regiment, Habildar Sunil Kumar Singh of 237 Field Workshop Company and Air Force Medalist Sergeant Surendra Kumar of 39 Wing.
