Four people tragically died when the front roof of the Yashwadi temple sanctuary in Maharashtra’s Parvani district collapsed around 3:30 pm on Saturday. The incident took place in Yashbadi village, about 190 km from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, where 27 people were initially trapped in the rubble but were quickly rescued by rescue teams.
The accident took place around 10:30 pm when the police and district administration sent their rescue teams to the spot and started the rescue operation, a police official told news agency PTI. Local MLA Rajesh Vitekar said the incident took place around 10:30 am, All those trapped under the rubble have been evacuated. Four people died in the incident, three were admitted to District General Hospital and 20 were admitted to RP Medical College.
The craftsmen involved in the construction of the temple were from other states and the stones used in the construction were brought from Rajasthan. The accident happened almost after the construction work was completed‘l That is not yet clear. He said that he has already spoken to some officials of the temple trust about the matter.
Yashwadi Temple is one of the famous pilgrimage places in Parvani district. About 25,000 to 50,000 devotees visit the temple every Saturday. Therefore, when such a terrible incident happened on Saturday afternoon, the entire area felt sad.
