IIT Graduate Fake Religious Leader Arrested In Mathura


A young man built a group of devotees by listening to religious lectures on YouTube. Showing himself as a spiritual teacher, he won the trust of many youngsters. But behind this mask of religion was a terrible crime. IIT Roorkee alumni Abhishek Mishra has been arrested by Uttar Pradesh police. He is accused of trapping several young women, sexually assaulting them, blackmailing them and extorting money from their families.

Odisha resident Abhishek Mishra, 29, passed mechanical engineering from IIT Roorkee in 2021, police sources said. He then came to Mathura and started introducing himself as a religious leader named Adikarta Narayan Das. He was living in Radhakunj area of ​​Mathura for the last four years. Abhishek ran a YouTube channel called Radha Kripa Amrita to attract fans. There he gave religious talks and lectures in Hindi and English. He was also active on LinkedIn under a fake identity. Through these online platforms, she built connections with young women, especially those who were educated and studying engineering.

He is accused of gradually taking young women away from their families and encouraging them to live in ashram-like homes. Police say about 24 youths once lived there together. The investigation revealed that Abhishek developed relationships with girls by talking about the so-called Gandharva marriage. They were then sexually harassed by feeding medicated milk in the name of Prasad. Not only that, they secretly recorded pictures and videos of the incident and later used it as a blackmail tool.

Based on the complaint of a young woman from Chhattisgarh, the police have started an investigation. Police arrested Abhishek after the girl’s complaint and registered a case of rape against him. Several incriminating images and videos recovered from his mobile phone are currently being examined as important evidence in the investigation. The accused are also accused of regularly collecting money from the families of the ashram residents, police said. Over time, many people became suspicious of Abhishek’s behavior but were initially brainwashed into being loyal to themselves. Police are investigating how many women were scammed and how long the activity was going on. This incident has created a stir in Mathura and surrounding areas.
