The waterlogged stretch has reportedly created unhygienic conditions in the locality and led to an increase in mosquito infestation over the years.
Although the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) recently carried out cleaning work on one side of the road, the problem still persists in the area.
The poor drainage condition has affected movement along the road and raised concerns over public health and sanitation in the locality.
Residents of the area have sought immediate intervention from the authorities and demanded a permanent solution to the long-standing issue.
