The ceremony will see the conferment of the country's prestigious civilian honours, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri, on distinguished personalities who have made exceptional contributions in their respective fields.

The Padma Awards 2026 list, announced earlier this year, recognised 131 eminent individuals from across India for their outstanding achievements in areas including art, literature and education, sports, medicine, science and engineering, public affairs, social work, trade and industry, and other fields of public service.

The Padma Awards are among India's highest civilian honours and are announced annually on the eve of Republic Day. The awards are presented in three categories, Padma Vibhushan for exceptional and distinguished service, Padma Bhushan for distinguished service of a high order, and Padma Shri for distinguished service in any field.

The upcoming Civil Investiture Ceremony-II at Rashtrapati Bhavan will honour another batch of awardees from the 2026 list, continuing the tradition of recognising individuals whose work has had a significant impact on society and the nation.

The event, scheduled for June 23, will be attended by senior government officials, dignitaries, awardees and their family members at the President's official residence in New Delhi.
