Shivakumar announced this while sitting as the Chief Minister of Karnataka


DK Shivakumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka on Wednesday. After taking oath he made several big announcements for the people of the state. He promised that soon the students of Karnataka will be able to travel in government buses for free. A special center will also be set up for employment of unemployed youth. He also promised a huge amount of money for youth empowerment and infrastructure development. Shivakumar named this whole system Yuva Yuga.

Karnataka’s new chief minister attended the first cabinet meeting after assuming office on Wednesday. Several important steps were taken in the meeting for the benefit of students, job seekers, farmers and urban dwellers. Sivakumar made it clear that his government must fulfill the promises made during the elections. “In the very first cabinet meeting it was decided to give a new gift to the people called Yuva Yuga,” he told reporters. These are not only promises but will soon be implemented.

Other important decisions taken in the first meeting of the cabinet include recruitment of 56,000 posts in various government departments in the state and formation of 10,000 new youth clubs. The Chief Minister said that each youth club will have 150 to 200 members and the government will provide financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to each club.
