GUWAHATI: The 6th All Assam Para Sports Meet, Guwahati 2026, kicked off in Guwahati on August 16 and will continue until August 18, bringing together 343 para-athletes from 23 districts across Assam.

The three-day flagship event is being organised by the Paralympic Association of Assam (PAA), with district officials and escorts accompanying the participating athletes.
According to a press statement released by Rajib Dey, General Secretary of the Paralympic Association of Assam, the meet features competitions across six sporting disciplines: Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Para Chess, Para Swimming and Para Table Tennis.
The events are being hosted across three venues in the city: the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex, Vandya International School and Udayachal.
The state-level meet aims to provide a competitive platform for para-athletes from across Assam, while promoting sporting excellence and inclusivity and fostering grassroots talent for national and international competitions.
