During the hearing on Monday, five lawyers, including public prosecutor Ziaur Kamar, presented arguments against Shekharjyoti’s bail.
“The hearing of Shekharjyoti Goswami’s bail plea has ended today. We have clearly stated all the arguments that will be presented to the court. As the charge frame of the seven accused in this case will be decided on May 26, the verdict will be delivered on May 26.
Shekharjyoti Goswami, who was arrested after Zubin Garg’s death, has been lodged in Haflong sub-jail since October 17 last year. He has been kept in the same jail along with another accused in the case, Amrit Prabha Mohant. After the bail application of Shyam Kanu and Siddharth, Shekhar through his lawyer applied for bail in the fast track court.
Apart from Shekhar and Amrit Prabha, Shyam Kanu Mohant, Siddharth Sharma, Sandeep Garg, Paresh Baishya and Nandeshwar Bora are also being heard in the fast track court. The court will judge the charge sheet against the seven accused in May

The court decided to decide on Shekhar’s bail plea on May 28 as the chargesheet against the seven accused in the case is scheduled to be heard in May.
