According to the report, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s family has faced huge financial losses in international trade. Due to the ongoing tension and war situation in the Middle East, US and Iran, hundreds of containers of his family have been stranded, resulting in losses of crores of rupees, Nitin Gadkari himself said.
“I make detergent with sugar and my daughter-in-law takes care of it,” Gadkari said at an event in Nagpur. About 100 containers of the detergent went to the United States, but when the war broke out the containers stopped going, destroying the business. Then I started selling in the local market and struggled a lot.
Gadkari added that his son has a big business with Iran. Bananas were exported from India, and apples were imported from Iran. After the outbreak of war, the supply system was completely disrupted. As a result, 400 containers of bananas rotted and 200 containers of apples were damaged. Insurance companies are reluctant to provide insurance.
