The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken a major step to reject the central government’s comments. Election Commission officials have clarified 12 valid documents that voters can use to prove their eligibility under the electoral roll revision process.With Indian passport. Following the Election Commission’s decision, voters can now prove their Indian citizenship through passports and include their names in the electoral roll.
This important voter roll revision process i.e. SIR will start soon in several states of the country‘It’s going to happen. These states include Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Sikkim, Tripura, Telangana and Uttarakhand. During this process, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will go door to door to check the data. They shall delete the names of deceased, transferred and duplicate voters from the list and arrange for the names of newly arrived eligible voters to be included in the voter list.
