GUWAHATI: A fire broke out at a transformer along the Pandu–Kamakhya road on Tuesday morning, June 23, prompting a swift response from emergency services. The blaze was reported by passersby shortly after it began, drawing the attention of nearby residents and traffic.
No injuries or property damage were reported, according to police officials and witnesses.
“The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit,” a police official said.
Firefighters rushed to the spot shortly after the incident was reported and successfully brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further.
